I installed 2 new bases (cabin & cockpit) last year. It did not seem the
new bases are the same quality as the old ones which corroded after 30
years. The new ones showed signs of corrosion very quickly. I assumed this
was the salt water but it shoots that theory if you are in fresh water.  It
may be bimetallic corrosion.

Any thoughts out there?
