I have a question for you experienced owners out there. I installed a brand-new table base (the metal receptacle in the floor) in the cabin at the beginning of last season (June 2018). A few days ago I noticed that it appeared to be very corroded. It began to fall apart as I removed it. The screws holding the base are stainless; they are screwed into the wood floor of the cabin, the carpet on the cabin floor is a synthetic of some sort. I had a plastic cover on the base for the past year. Is the severe corrosion caused because of the contact between the stainless screws and the (probably) zinc plated table base? If not, what would you suspect to be the cause? Please see the attached photo: Table_Base_Bottom.jpg Thanks, Chris ----- Long Beach Island -- Sent from: http://rhodes-22.1065344.n5.nabble.com/See the original archive post
