I installed a thru-hull transponder for a speed/depth/temp instrument in my 1988 boat in the head area about 8 inches from the centerline, and and my eyeball estimate of the the thickness of the fiberglass hull in that area was about 3/8 of an inch. That’s the only hole I’ve drilled through the hull of my boat, but I’m pretty sure the thickness will be less as you get further from the keel. A person might wonder why you want to know.
