I have PVC tubes on the forward lowers as well, so probably ‘hung up’ is not quite the right phrase.  The issue I have is not that the sail or sheets get snagged on the turnbuckles (which often would happen before the PVC), but sometimes there’s just not enough wind to move all of that cloth from one side of the boat to the other in a smart and seamanlike way.
