I’m just refitting a single axel Triad trailer.
I was told by Triad, that NY State requires brakes for any trailer with a gross weight of more than 3500#s 
I need to purchase the whole undercarriage, axel, springs, hubs, wheels, tires and fenders. 
I will not be using the trailer to move the boat around much- just to launch, retrieve and an occasional short trip - less than 20 miles maybe once or twice per season.
Since I am putting so much work into the trailer thought, I want it to be right for whoever is next to own this boat.  
Any advice or comments?
