Does anybody have a photo or diagram of the Diamondboard setup just in case I have an urgent need? I removed the wood shroud after my birdsnest plug when the bilge was filling with rainwater. I saw the tube fastened by clamp behind the wood shroud inside the cabin. This appears to be above waterline unlike the removable cap, and in my case must leak when the tube is full of rainwater wetting the step and draining into the bilge. I could not feel any cracks, but it leaks when the cockpit seats collect water. My bilge did not fill with the last 3" downpour, so I am hopeful the issue was a failure of the hose to seal against pressure and a floating grass plug at the top of the well that has finally rotted away. Snaking did not help. Unlikely scenario, but less bad than a crack. I'll test with a bucket and and if needed tear it apart before my Lake Erie trip next month, hence the questions. The pennant runs through the companionway drain tube. The throat is molded into the centerboard housing aft of the cap and elevated above the cap and waterline. The centerboard has top hangers. The cap gasket, hangers and pennant are accessible when the boat is on the hard if the shroud, carpet, bench top, step / drawer assembly, and sole center strip of plywood are removed. The tube and clamp are sort of accessible just by removing the wood shroud at the companionway and the tube is above waterline so this could be taken apart with difficulty while the boat is in the water. Am I close? ----- Alex Cole S/V Lark -- View this message in context: http://rhodes-22.1065344.n5.nabble.com/CB-pendant-length-tp53617p53637.html Sent from the Rhodes 22 mailing list archive at Nabble.com.See the original archive post
