Center board jammed

Hi John,

One other possibility is that the centerboard line got jammed between 
the board and the trunk when you grounded. If you have any movement in 
the line it is possible that tugging at gently (wouldn't want to jam it 
further) might loosen it. I seem to recall that happening to us once 
though I don't recall the circumstances.

Our board would would sometimes foul with marine growth when the boat 
sat in the slip too long. That's not your issue but just in case it is 
someone else's , we could often get the board to go all the way down by 
raising and lowering it as far as it would go several times and then 
take it out for a sail, tacking as much as we could. It was always a 
satisfying thump when it finally went down and the ball at the end of 
the line rested on the lip to companionway.
