I raced Lightinings, Lasers, Hobie cats and Sunfish as well as big boats (Custom C&C 35) for 35 years- in and off-shore, but never raced my rhodes 22.
I would be happy to race against other Rhodes 22's, but PHRF - I’ll pass on that one.
I use my R 22 as a family boat. Clamming, minor touring and trips to the waterfront restaurants.
If I did race it, I would certainly want a 130% Jib option.
I would also change the Traveler to a different arrangement. Perhaps a Harken system mounted to the Traveler Bar in the same location. With that big Jenny, the Main sheet is the best control to use when overpowered because the Traveler can not be eased not quickly enough.
