We always stored Fretless on the hard with the mast down. We made a PVC frame to support a tarp so the mast, the spreaders and the stays weren't involved. We padded places that might rub with scrap pieces of carpet and tied the tarp down so it was taut, shed rain and snow and didn't flap much in the wind.
