Reuben,

On my boat, I was able to take a wire coat hanger and unbend it.  This wire is stiff enough to push from the breaker panel under the companion way over to where the other wires exit into the gunnel area behind the starboard cockpit seats.  Once you get there, you can fish the cables back to the breaker panel.  It takes patience and a delicate touch.
