Todd,

I’m not sure I understand your question.  On S/V Dynamic Equilibrium,  the forward wall of the lazarette compartment separating it from the cockpit is fiberglass.  Are you referring to the floatation foam under the cockpit?  If so, on my boat, there is a bulkhead made of what appears to be painted wood separating the lazarette compartment from the floatation foam.  There is a similar painted wood bulkhead separating the floatation foam from the cabin at the forward end of the cockpit.  These wooden bulkheads appear to be glassed in place pretty securely and would be very difficult to remove.  These wooden bulkheads are an important structural support for the cockpit floor and it’s hard to believe they were left out on your boat.  Do you have any pictures of what you are talking about?
