Also, you may want to pick up new galvanized bolts, lock washers and nuts
while getting new bunks.  I figured I might as well replace the hardware
while it was exposed before covering it with carpeting.  I had to tighten
the bolts quite a bit to sink them into the wood and ensure the bolt was
below the level of the bunk in order to avoid any contact between the bolt
head and the hull.
