Repair of Spider Cracks at Mast Step Tabernacle

Has anyone actually experienced the epoxy plugs pulling out as a result of a
subsequent mast mishap? If so, did the plugs damage the fiberglass
surrounding the screw holes? If they did not damage the surrounding
fiberglass, I have to wonder why not.
