Need some help fixing my stupidity

Rob,Don't you just wish life had an undo button?The damage is too close to the bottom to make a mistake. Even though I have done all repairs to my two Rhodes 22s, I might opt for a pro on this kind of damage. If not done right, motor vibration might cause significant stress at the repair with a particularly bad outcome close to the waterline. If a pro fixes it, at least you will be able to blame someone else for what had started out as your mistake.I would also consider glossing in or using epoxy to attach plywood to the laz side to beef up the glass. The 9.9hp 100 lbs. engines can cause quite a bit of structural stress when cranked,  not to mention what happens when the engine strikes something like a dock.Does your auto or boat insurance cover the loss?
