Hi, I restored my flooring and stringers three years ago. But have been wondering about the structural integrity of original floor compared to my replacement. The original was one large piece of plywood which was hard to remove in one piece. The original floor had one large continuous segment running across the width of the floor. I used two smaller pieces to cover the floor running across the width of the floor. My question is this: Does the original wood running across the width of the floor give more structural strength to the boat than my 2 smaller pieces?
