Are you going to leave her (yes, boats are she’s) at anchor or on a mooring ball? Don’t believe at anchor is a good idea but a well maintained mooring ball might work. You might be able to leave at anchor overnight but I would not be comfortable with that. Does the marina have transient slips you could use for overnights? - rob

Jeff,

Congratulations on your recent acquisition.

I’m not clear on the details of your plan, but it sounds like you might be thinking of leaving your boat anchored for extended periods (i.e. hours) while you are not on board.  This is just my personal opinion, but this is not a plan that I would be comfortable with.  Your insurance company probably wouldn’t be too comfortable with this plan either.

If I’ve misinterpreted your intentions, please just ignore this.
