Thanks Cecilia, For starters I will begin sending copies of the emails relating to parts, that I had been forwarding to Charles, to you also so you can get a feel of this part of the business. Your interests has me excited since I am beginning to see this as a potential tail wagging the dog possibility plus an inroad on something that would please both of us; taking some of the wind out of Chris Cowie's Piracy. You will be amazed. as I, when you begin seeing the scope of parts that buyers of Rhodes from private sellers are beginning to turn to us for. Not only Rhodes owners but owners of other make boats. For instance it turns out that Rhodes uses the same color and size rub rail insert that comes on their Boston Whalers and we are the only source so they come back to us periodically for replacements. A small item but there are turning out to be many: The small vertical IMF main sail batten. CB gasket kits. It is almost endless. Plus we keep coming up with better parts to use then their current ones like Charles improved outhaul car that lasts forever, the new traveler invention and maybe even a kit I am thinking of that makes furling in the main sail easier in heavy airs. I would like to set up a parts table at the show to begin learning more about the potential of this division. If there was a $1,200 Pop Top enclosure at our table, used, for $695, I bet it would sell in minutes. Today I have already forwarded an owner who wants a water line stripe and mast hoist assembly to Charles; plus we have an upgrade to that product that I have been too sidetracked to ever get to, although it saves time and effort in raising and lowering the mast at very little additional cost. gotta watch the debates. The business and politics are welcome distractions in this Rose haunted empty house that otherwise is so painful to live in. The kids want me to live with them but business is my life saver. Imagine me in a rocker and staring at the world going by without me. /*Per below we have to switch serious mail to using stan at generalboats.com.*//* *//**/See the original archive post
