Hi Bob,
I put one in my boat at the same approximate place. No thru-hull installation. Just epoxied it to the inside of the hull following the manufacturers instructions. Works fine - no issues.

Hi folks,
I am installing an in-hull transducer.
I’m trying to figure out where to locate it. Thinking about placing it
below the cabin floor just offset from the centerboard sleeve.
Wondering if anyone in the group has installed an in-hill transducer and
how it was done.
