Tony,

The plastic spacers are there to prevent the stainless steel spreader bases from corroding the aluminum mast. It just needs to electrically insulate the mast from the spreader base. I’ve never seen anyone selling them. However, I have made electrical isolators for my mast from a plastic milk jug and a pair of scissors. Note that you also need to coat the stainless steel mounting bolts with never seize or dielectric grease to prevent the threads from corroding. You could also coat the back of the spreader bases with epoxy and that will also work to keep the stainless steel away from the aluminum. Anyway, don’t just bolt the spreader bases to the mast without attending to this very important detail. Your mast will probably be ruined within one season!
